Pointless school policy ends up being fatal to one student
When we send our children to school, we expect them to be cared for, but sometimes, negligence leads to tragic consequences. Ryan Gibbons, a young boy with asthma, would still be alive today if his school had paid proper attention to his needs. Despite his asthma, Ryan loved playing outside, but he required an inhaler to manage his condition. The school had a policy that confiscated students inhalers, keeping them locked away in the office. One day, Ryan suffered an asthma attack while playing soccer, but he couldnt access his inhaler. His friends rushed to get help, but the office was locked and the administrator was unavailable. By the time help arrived, Ryan had tragically passed away. His parents had repeatedly asked the school to let Ryan carry his inhaler, but their concerns were ignored. This led to the creation of Ryans Law,ensuring no childs life is put at risk by similar policies again.
