Vandalism at Trump Turnberry Golf Course
Donald Trump’s Scottish golf course, Trump Turnberry, was vandalized on March 8, with red paint sprayed on the clubhouse and damage done to the greens. Police arrived around 4:40 AM and launched an investigation.
Suspects Arrested and Investigation Ongoing
Kieran Robson, 33, was arrested and charged with malicious mischief, then released on bail. Two others—a 75-year-old man and a 66-year-old woman—were also arrested but released pending further investigation. Police are still looking into the case.
Trump’s Reaction
Trump responded on his social media platform, stating, “I hope they are treated harshly.” He also praised UK police for their handling of the incident and expressed frustration that people would attack something deeply personal to him. “Trump Turnberry is not just a golf course to Trump, but a symbol of his success and hard work.”
Security Tightened and Debate Sparked
Trump has increased security at the course and pledged to work closely with law enforcement. He called for serious consequences, emphasizing, “Such behavior will not be tolerated, especially on my own property.” The vandalism sparked debate about the limits of political protest. While opposition to Trump is common, many agree that destruction of property is not a justified form of dissent.
As the investigation continues, Trump remains firm: “Acts of vandalism will not be tolerated.” The incident highlights the deep political divide Trump continues to stir and raises broader questions about how political disagreement should be expressed.
