Ainsley Earhardt opens up about love, loss, and the sweet

A Quiet Beginning and a Special Nickname

Fox News anchor Ainsley Earhardt shares a glimpse into her personal life and long-rumored romance with fiancé Sean Hannity.

Every morning, Hannity lovingly calls her “Sunshine.” She explained, “He calls me that because I’m always smiling and I wake up America.” Their relationship, once private, now blossoms in the public eye.

From Heartbreak to Healing

Earhardt’s journey included personal pain, including a divorce from former NFL quarterback Will Proctor in 2019.

“I wanted to be married to one person forever because I was a really strong Christian,” she said, reflecting on her past struggles. She credits her faith and Hannity’s support for helping her through tough times, including the death of her mother in 2022. “I saw God even in the darkest moments. I was lifted up and carried through by his presence,” she shared.

Parenting and Balancing Life

Though Earhardt and Proctor are divorced, they co-parent their 9-year-old daughter, Hayden. She said, “I didn’t just stay in a house because we were married; I wanted [Hayden] to be in a happy home.” Earhardt lives in New York, while Hannity spends weekends with them before returning to his Palm Beach home. “On Sundays, after church, we always have a family brunch before Hayden and I take a plane back,” she said.

A Calm Love and a New Chapter

Their romance, which began during difficult times, grew quietly until they announced their engagement in late 2024. Earhardt recalled, “He was just there for me when I was going through a really hard time. I fell in love with him because we simply enjoyed each other’s company.” The couple plans a small, private wedding with only their children present. Ainsley is clear about the reality of relationships: “Divorce happens, but it’s not romantic.” Today, she embraces her life fully, saying, “Life is great now… I’m enjoying every moment of it, even though it can be chaotic and quite the rollercoaster.”
