Whistleblower Claims Target Schiff Over Trump Leaks
Newly released FBI interview summaries have renewed scrutiny of Senator Adam Schiff.
A whistleblower, described as a Democratic intelligence staffer, claims Schiff authorized leaks of classified information during the Trump–Russia investigation to harm then-President Donald Trump politically.
Allegations of Strategic Leaks
According to FBI records obtained by Just The News, Schiff allegedly told staff in a meeting that they would leak “classified information which was derogatory to President of the United States DONALD J. TRUMP.”
The whistleblower claimed the goal was to create grounds “to indict President TRUMP.”
Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-Calif.) was also named as a likely “conduit” for the leaks, though he has denied involvement and instead questioned the credibility of the source and criticized FBI Director Kash Patel.
Political Motives and Fallout
The whistleblower claimed Schiff had hoped to become CIA Director if Hillary Clinton had won in 2016. After Trump’s victory, Schiff allegedly focused on weakening the new administration through leaks. The source said they alerted authorities but were ignored by the Justice Department and later fired.
Media Ties and Unanswered Questions
Investigative reporter Paul Sperry suggested Schiff’s leaks may have reached Washington Post journalist Ellen Nakashima, who had connections to top intelligence figures, including former CIA Director John Brennan.
While speculation around Schiff’s role in media leaks has persisted, these declassified records have intensified calls for accountability. Critics argue the Justice Department’s inaction damages public trust. Schiff has yet to publicly respond, leaving open questions about the full extent of the alleged actions and their impact during the Trump presidency.
