“You were part of the ramp up or the startup of the Clinton Global Initiative?” Maxwell responded without hesitation: “

I was. I would say very central to that, yes.”

This assertion, if true, challenges the known history of CGI’s origins and suggests that someone later convicted of sex trafficking played a foundational role in one of the world’s leading philanthropic platforms.

Maxwell’s presence at the 2013 CGI conference was confirmed by CNN, with sources saying, “It was rare, prestigious and an honor to be acknowledged the way Ghislaine was at the CGI annual meeting.”

Connections to the Clinton Family

Maxwell claimed a personal friendship with Bill Clinton, describing trips together to Davos and noting, “Once for sure. And I think maybe twice.” She also claimed to have attended Chelsea Clinton’s wedding and recalled a flight with Hillary Clinton, though the details were vague. Importantly, she emphasized, “[Clinton] was my friend,” distancing the connection from Jeffrey Epstein.
