FBI Questions Romantic Partner and Roommate

Digital Trail Leads to Suspect

Investigators say text messages between Tyler Robinson and

roommate Lance Twiggs helped identify Robinson

as the suspected shooter of Charlie Kirk.

Twiggs shared exchanges where Robinson allegedly gave instructions on retrieving a

rifle, disguising himself, and engraving bullets.

Recovered Evidence

FBI agents seized electronics from Robinson’s apartment and recovered a high-powered bolt-action rifle near his escape route.

Ammunition at the scene bore engravings referencing memes, video games, and slogans.

Professor Jamie Cohen noted such messages “could mean very little in isolation” but may also signal extremist meaning.

Family Intervention

Authorities said Robinson’s father recognized him in security images, confronted him, and persuaded him to surrender.

A youth pastor helped calm the situation before FBI agents took Robinson into custody.

Charges and Penalties

Robinson, 22, is being held without bail on aggravated murder and related counts.

Utah’s attorney general confirmed the death penalty is under consideration.
