Ambulance Crash in Dougherty County

An early morning crash in Dougherty County left eight people injured,

including a newborn, when an EMS ambulance rolled over at Pine Avenue and Monroe Street.

Witnesses described the chaotic scene as emergency crews rushed in.

Inside the Ambulance

Officials confirmed three EMS workers and two patients were on board, one of them the infant.

Authorities reassured the public that “all eight individuals involved… are expected to survive.”

Swift Response

Dougherty County EMS activated emergency protocols immediately.

Extra units transported the injured for evaluation. Director James Gibney said, “We are grateful that no serious injuries occurred, and we appreciate the swift response of first responders.”

Investigation Ongoing

The Georgia State Patrol is reviewing witness statements, footage, and reports to determine the cause. While the community expressed relief, the crash highlighted both the risks faced by responders and the need for safer intersections.
