A Strong Plan to Help the Middle Class and Close Rich People’s Loopholes

Trump Unveils Middle-Class Tax Relief Plan

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt announced President Trump’s new tax proposal, describing it as “significant relief to the middle class” while closing loopholes for the wealthy.

The plan would end taxes on tips, Social Security benefits, and overtime pay, aiming to “put more money into the pockets of working Americans.” It also targets the carried interest loophole benefiting hedge fund managers and extends the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act to keep lower individual rates.

Trump also proposes cutting the corporate tax rate to 15% to spur business growth and investment.

Democrats warn it could “widen the deficit” and favor corporations, while some Republicans question how to offset the cuts. With Congress preparing for debate, a contentious battle is expected over balancing economic growth with long-term fiscal stability.
