Dr Hilary Jones, the NHS GP famed for his appearances on ITV’s Lorraine and Good Morning Britain, has divulged some vital tips for maintaining heart health, including a stark warning about a common habit that ‘doubles the risk’ of a heart attack.

The seasoned physician highlighted the dangers of being overweight, advising:
“Don’t strain it [your heart] by carrying too much weight, exercise it regularly – it’s a muscle – it loves a bit of exercise.” He also cautioned against allowing cholesterol to ‘clog up your heart’.
In his message about a widespread habit, Dr Hilary warned: “Don’t smoke, your heart hates that,”and then queried his viewers: “What do you do to look after your heart? “, reports Surrey Live.
The NHS underscores that smoking significantly increases the likelihood of developing cardiovascular diseases, which encompass coronary heart disease and stroke.
