Sen. Cramer Injured in Fall

North Dakota Sen. Kevin Cramer suffered a seizure and brain bleed after slipping on ice in his backyard.

He shared that he is “resting and recovering at home” following the weekend accident.

The Accident

“Late yesterday afternoon, I walked to my backyard…

I stepped on ice and evidently fell hard, hitting the back of my head,” Cramer wrote on Facebook.

He blacked out until reaching the hospital, where doctors diagnosed a “severe concussion, a seizure, and a slight brain bleed.”

Recovery and Gratitude

Cramer said he still has “pretty bad headaches” but is improving.

He thanked his wife, Kris, and hospital staff for their care, adding, “God is good!”

Background and Challenges

Cramer, re-elected in 2024, remains a key Republican voice in the Senate.

His family recently faced tragedy after his son Ian was sentenced to 28 years in prison for killing a sheriff’s deputy.
