Trump vs. Thunberg: Climate Activist Hits Back After Deportation

The long-running feud between Donald Trump and climate activist Greta Thunberg escalated after Thunberg, 22, was deported from Israel. She and 11 others were detained while sailing toward Gaza on a humanitarian mission. Thunberg called it a kidnapping in “international waters,” but Israeli officials dismissed the claim, calling the voyage “a selfie yacht” and a “media provocation.”

In a video recorded during the incident, Thunberg said:

“If you see this video we have been intercepted and kidnapped in international waters by the Israeli occupational forces.”

Trump’s Reaction

When asked about the situation, Trump took aim at Thunberg personally.

“She’s a strange person,” he told reporters. “She’s a young, angry person… I think she has got to go to anger management class.”

He rejected her accusations:

“I think Israel has enough problems without kidnapping Greta Thunberg.”

Greta’s Comeback

Thunberg, undeterred, fired back during a stop in France:

“Well, I think the world needs a lot more young angry women to be honest — especially with everything going on right now.”

She denied entering Israel illegally, insisting:

“We were kidnapped on international waters and brought there against our own will.”

Mission and Message

Thunberg joined the Freedom Flotilla Coalition to deliver aid and raise awareness about Gaza’s humanitarian crisis.

“We see what is happening and we cannot accept just witnessing all this and doing nothing — that can never be an option.”

She condemned the ongoing blockade in Gaza, calling it:

“Systematic starvation of over two million people, and the full-blown live stream genocide.”

Israel continues to deny all claims of genocide.
