Details: Local high school baseball coach Jordan Marks heard about Lambert’s situation and organized six seniors from Menard High School to carry his casket. “I try to teach them the game of baseball but also the game of life,” Marks said. The students, Ashton Veade, Cameron Kinder, Jacob Giordano, Jackson Ford, Ashton Brodnax, and Hunter Foster, carried Lambert’s flag-draped casket at Central Louisiana Veterans Cemetery.
Conclusion: The students felt honored to participate. “It was an honor for us, seniors, to be able to go out there, especially with somebody with no family and friends,” Jacob Giordano shared.
