Marco Rubio Issues Massive
Unified Rebrand Begins
The U.S. State Department is launching a major “America First”
rebranding to unify the visual identity of all embassies, bureaus, and overseas programs.
Single Flag Design
The plan replaces multiple logos with one consistent design featuring the American flag,
making U.S. efforts abroad easier to recognize.
Reason for the Change
Acting Undersecretary Darren Beattie said a unified look will ensure American contributions are clearly identified,
noting past efforts were often not visibly tied to the U.S. government.
Broader Restructuring
New guidelines were issued Wednesday,
following confirmation by Secretary of State Marco Rubio that USAID will no longer provide foreign assistance,
with remaining duties absorbed by the State Department.
All offices must adopt the new flag branding by October 1 as part of the largest restructuring since the Cold War.
