Woman Refuses to Pay for Boyfriend’s Dinner—Again

A woman recently turned to Reddit to ask if she was wrong for refusing to pay for her boyfriend and his kids’ meal after he “forgot” his wallet—again.

She explained they’d been dating for nine months and regularly dined out with his two daughters. While the kids enjoyed these outings, she claimed she ended up footing the bill every single time because he “always forgets his wallet.”

Before their latest dinner, she even texted him a reminder. He just laughed. At the restaurant, his daughters ordered the most expensive items, and when she asked if he brought his wallet, he acted surprised, saying, “Guess I forgot it in the other pair of jeans that I thought I was going to wear.”

He then asked her to cover the bill “just this time.” That’s when she’d had enough. She grabbed her bag and left, telling him, “I wasn’t paying this time AGAIN.”

Later, he called and accused her of being heartless. According to him, he had to cancel the order and take his kids home hungry. “We got into an argument and he’s been mad at me about it since then saying things like how he needs to take a look at how I’m treating the kids specifically and how I was willing to let them go hungry with my selfishness.”
