Nexstar Refuses To Air Kimmel’s Retu

Nexstar and Sinclair Drop Kimmel

Nexstar Media Group and Sinclair Broadcast Group announced they will not

air Jimmy Kimmel Live! despite Disney reinstating the host.

Nexstar said, “We made a decision last week to preempt ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’

following what ABC referred to as Mr. Kimmel’s ‘ill-timed and insensitive’ comments.”

Sinclair added it would replace the show with news programming.

The Controversy

Kimmel was suspended after falsely claiming that Charlie Kirk’s killer was a Trump supporter.

On-air, he said: “We hit some new lows… with the MAGA gang desperately trying to

characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them.”

Uncertain Future

A staffer expressed doubt about the show’s return: “I can’t imagine a scenario in which that happens… MAGA people will never be happy. It will never be enough.”

Investigation Possible

FCC Chairman Brendan Carr called Kimmel’s conduct “some of the sickest” and said an investigation is being considered.
