No One Showed Up For His Birthday So
No One Showed Up for Teddy’s Birthday Party
All Teddy wanted for his 6th birthday was to share pizza with his kindergarten classmates. But when the big day came, no one showed up.
The party was set for Sunday at Peter Piper Pizza in Tucson, Arizona. His mom, Sil Mazzini, had invited all 32 classmates and their families.
While a few gave advance notice of other plans, the rest simply didn’t come. Teddy was left sitting alone at a table full of uneaten pizza.
“I’m done with parties for a while,” Mazzini told KNXV. A photo she shared—of Teddy sitting alone—was posted online and quickly went viral.
The Internet Responds with Love
Strangers from around the world sent support, gifts, and kind words. One woman wrote, “People are flaky and inconsiderate sometimes… That doesn’t mean you aren’t great.” A local exterminator even offered Teddy a free ride in his “mouse limo.”
The Best Gifts Came From the Pros
The Phoenix Suns gave Teddy a surprise birthday gift: tickets to a game against the Lakers and LeBron James. “How about we celebrate with thousands at our place!” the team tweeted.
Phoenix Rising, a pro soccer team, also invited Teddy to join “7,000 of his closest friends” at a playoff match and offered him a custom jersey.
Social Media Praise—and Criticism
While many praised the outpouring of love, some questioned Mazzini’s choice to share Teddy’s disappointment online. “Let’s embarrass this kid even more than he already is,” one Facebook user commented.
