The Wedding Night That Shattered

On our wedding night, I told my husband Scott I was too tired for anything romantic. He kissed me goodnight, understanding.

But around midnight, I felt the bed shake and when I turned, I froze. Scott was kneeling beside the bed, holding a baby. “Scott?”

I whispered. He replied softly, “This is Ella… my orphaned niece. Maya my stepsister passed away. I found out weeks ago.”

I was stunned and asked why he hadn’t told me. “I was afraid you’d leave,” he admitted. I was too shocked to argue, though something didn’t sit right.

A few days later, I found a photo of Scott smiling with a heavily pregnant woman Maya. When I confronted him, he came clean: Maya wasn’t

his stepsister, and Ella wasn’t his niece she was his daughter. I left, devastated, even though I already loved Ella like she was mine.

Just as I was trying to move on, a mysterious woman appeared and warned me, “Run.” She turned out to be Amanda Scott’s ex-wife and she had his other child.

Things only got worse. Amanda claimed Scott was involved with a cult. Then I found out I was pregnant.

I faked a miscarriage and confronted him right as the police stormed in.

Then “Cut!” the director yelled. It was all a film. Inspired by a real misunderstanding on a wedding night involving Scott’s niece,

baby Ella. Crazy? Absolutely. But sometimes, the wildest stories come from the strangest truths.
